Why I love what I do
I love the satisfaction of helping leaders connect with their own passions and understand how this relates to the organisation for whom they work. When there is alignment, authenticity and a positive, human culture companies are capable of delivering outstanding results for their customer and shareholders.
A business result I am proud of
Working with a multinational insurance organisation we delivered an event for the top 400 leaders and opinion formers in the organisation. Corporate events risk being bland, passive and formulaic so we broke the mould – thinking in creative and engaging ways to articulate the strategy, to build engagement with the progress so far and to change entrenched behaviours. People left feeling engaged, more connected to each other as a population and clearer on what they needed to do to deliver the commercial results the business needed.
I partnered with clients to deeply understand their cultures and leadership needs. I worked closely with one unusual Russian Business and was able to predict with certainty the new leaders who would succeed or fail in their particular corporate culture, thus saving vast sums in mis-hires.
A business reinvention I admire
Whilst no longer cool... Pop Idol reinvented how pop acts are found and tested. They turned the traditional A&R approach on its head, getting talent to come to them and creating a multimillion pound television model to boot. The model has been rolled out internationally and spawned other shows such as the X-factor and Britain’s Got Talent – generating many millions of pounds for the TV networks and record labels.
